"If a machine is to be infallible, it cannot also be intelligent. A computer would deserve to be called intelligent if it could fool a human being into believing that he was human."
AI@UniTo
The Scientific Platform on Artificial Intelligence of the University of Turin
The Artificial Intelligence Platform is an interdisciplinary community that brings together researchers and expertise in AI. The Platform aims to improve research and teaching, increasing internal collaborations and access to research opportunities, calls for proposals, and funding. The platform will also support the artificial intelligence supply chain by developing collaborations with startups, companies, and local organizations to accelerate the transition between research and development of market solutions. It is an always-open community, with agile coordination, where participants can join thematic groups or contribute individually.
The platform explores AI in various research areas such as life sciences and health, environment, theagriculture and sustainability, thelearning and educational, le humanistic disciplines and cultural heritage, the social sciences, economics and law, Basic AI and infrastructure, the University services, the industry, technology transfer, communication and policy. The goal is to support research, strengthen teaching and improve administrative efficiency without delegating to anyone and without ignoring this challenge, which is so important for universities, companies and for our country.
